Training and Consultancy
DVIP offers a range of training courses which can be tailored to the needs of specific groups. All trainers are experienced practitioners in the field. Courses range from half day to seven days and cover issues such as:
  • domestic violence awareness
  • working with abusers within an intervention project
  • working with women within an intervention project
  • structuring and developing an intervention project
  • report writing and assessment
Sometimes our training is commissioned by a single agency, but sometimes agencies come together to buy in training. DVIP has published a comprehensive manual on domestic violence intervention work which supports our training programme.

Additionally, we offer consultancy to other projects either at the development stage, or further on down the line when they want to rethink their policies, structures or service provision. Consultancy can be for a day or for six months depending on other projects needs and our availability.
